Welcome to the Veterans Freedom Shows and Events. This organization was put together to build community and support for our Veterans. These events are designed to be fund raiser for the different Veteran organization in the Central Valley. All funds will be used to support different veteran outreach programs. We have to many veterans in our valley that do not have access to the programs they need. These events will help raise funds so these veterans get the help they need.

I am Eddie Mertens, I spent 11 years in the United States Marine Corps. I enlisted on October 10, 1989 after boot camp I was sent to Infantry School the to the most FEARED battalion in the Marine Corps. The 1st Battalion 9th Marines more affectionally know as The Walking Dead. During my time their I was deployed to Desert Shield/Storm, The evacuation of Subic Navel Station and Clark Air base in the Philippines. After a short time back in the states we were sent to Somalia for a show of force in october1993. Once back state side i received orders to Quantico Marine Base where I spent time on the rifle/pistol ranges and an instructor. After that i finished my service as a Recruiter in Fresno. I have owned a couple of different businesses since then.
